 The BASICS is a 6 week nutrition series that takes the overwhelm out of food.

Are you confused and distracted with all the competing information on how to best fuel your body?

Are you wrapped up in diet culture or recovering from years of the harmful impacts of diets and messaging that ultimately failed you?

Are you desiring ease in making choices surrounding food that makes you feel great?

You want to eat in a way that doesn’t add hours of time to your schedule, counting calories or weighing food (or yourself)?

You want to model an intuitive way of eating to your kids? You want nutrition to fit INTO your life?

That’s what is on our MENU of THE BASICS.

What to expect:

  • WEEK 1: Unpacking old beliefs. First, let’s take a moment to bring awareness to our experience with nutrition, diets and food. What beliefs do we hold surrounding food and ourselves? Which beliefs are serving us in our quest for health and wellbeing? We will review the overall theme of every diet (you may or may not have tried). Why do they “work”? And ultimately why they fail you. (YOU did not fail). Then let’s flip the script and establish what you do well. Let’s determine how ready, willing and able you are to make change (it’s okay if you are just a little bit ready - being clear on this will help ensure your success. If we bite off more than we can chew it WILL NOT be sustainable). Where YOU are currently at is a PERFECT place to start.
  • WEEK 2: We start to work with Habits and learning the basics to begin exploring, experiencing and developing YOUR blueprint for being 1% better. We DO NOT need massive change, effort or time to have a meaningful impact. We just need to slowly move our needle from Stage 1 > 2 > 3 and so forth. Habit 1 we will address is hydration. Each participant will have the opportunity to scale the habit so it will suit THERE life.
  • WEEK 3: Noticing. For SO long we have been told this never-ending list of what’s good, what’s bad, when to eat, how certain foods make us feel etc. We have stopped listening to our body. This week we will focus our Habit exploration around mindfulness and eating. What does that even mean? How can we practice it?Are we eating enough? What’s enough? How do we know?
  • WEEK 4: Building on what we have learned from Week 1 and 3 we will explore balanced meals. We will learn very general suggestions around carbs, fat and protein that do not require scales, apps or measuring cups. Our habit this week will be to try increase protein and fibre (veggy’s) to our life. The degree to which we do this will depend on your readiness level. Again 1% better.
  • WEEK 5: Preparation that works for your life. Meal and Food Prep, ughhhhh, right? I know. And yet the tiny bit of upfront works makes eating in a way that you love AND serves your goals SO MUCH EASIER. And it’s less work than you think. Do you have to set aside 3 hours every Sunday to meal prep? Nope! We are going to review 7 or more ways you can PREPARE for success with meals. (And save some stress and money, too!) Do you have to implement all 7? No! Find the thing that makes life simpler that you can do NOW. That’s where we start. We can always add more later.
  • WEEK 6: Let’s wrap it up. What WORKED best for you.? What was the thing that you learned and implemented that made life simpler? How can we ensure we continue this? Let’s consider habit stacking, or setting aside time this week to PLAN for the forseeable future. Often times, its as easy to plan several weeks or months of our prep plan as it is to do 1. Use this week to futher increase your confidence with your chosen habit or move your needle a tiny bit further!

Accessing the Information: All information will be provided through a private facebook group (a link to join will be provided several day before the series begins). Each week Michelle will provide a video you can watch to walk you through the weeks information, learning, exploring and calls to action. We ask that you share as much about your journey with the other partipants as you can. Share your struggles and triumphs - we are not alone!

Time commitment: Weekly video that is 20 minutes or less - from there an additional 5-15 minutes exploring the call to action and making a plan for yourself and sharing it with the group. You DO NOT have to be available for the LIVE video - it will be saved and posted. The videos will be recorded on Thursday’s at 2:30 pm (subject to change).

The group will remain open for a minimum of 6 months post wrap-up so you can still access the information, printables etc. as needed.

You will have unlimited access to Michelle via the group. I will also provide my cell for text support if you need it!

A few extras:

Starting Week Two we will offer a little meal/recipe “round up” to spark creativity around meals. Need some ideas for balanced breakfasts, lunches, dinners and snacks? We got you!

A short intake will be sent prior to the beginning of the series to allow us a better understanding of where you are at, where you struggle most and what you hope to achieve throughout the series. This way we can ensure everyone is moving forward with their nutrition in a meaningful way for them.

After the Early Bird Regular Price of this Program is $169 + Tax. Weekly payments are $30/week.

*We will not tolerate any Diet BS in the facebook group. You ARE welcome and encouraged to share how you have been impacted by diet culture but we will not accept anyone sharing fads, quick fixes, waist trainers, juice cleanses etc.  We hope to cultivate a culture around food that is inclusive and aware.
